Yesterday I had the distinct honor to interview Christophe Deherre, the Director of the French Air Force Center for Studies, Reserve and Partnership, who is commanding the U.S. tour of the French aerial demonstration team during their 35-day visit to the United States. He accommodated me on very short notice, and gave unique insights to his background (almost 3000 hours in fighters) and the logistics that goes into such a massive undertaking.
In addition to his time in the French Air Force, he had an exchange tour as a cadet at the United States Air Force Academy and later served as a military representative to the United Nations.
