This episode features Patty Wagstaff, champion aerobatic pilot for three decades. Patty hails from an aviation family, but didn't learn to fly until she needed to commute to villages in Alaska as part of her job. Later, she became interested in aerobatics, and rocketed to national championship in less than five years. She was the first woman to win the U.S. National Aerobatic Championships, a title she held for three years.Patty now operates an aerobatics school in St. Augustine, Florida.
